Hardrock Nite proves an easy listen, featuring all the familiar warmth they bring to every project. It's unashamedly a Beatles/Lennon cover album and good for them. The tracks are well executed, carefully selected and expertly recorded for maximum sound.
The album opens with an excerpt of Entry of The Gladiators by Czech composer Julius Fucik. For some time this tune has been associated with circuses, a fun choice to use for the track Magical Mystery Tour. It fits nicely. Rock and Roll can be a circus and this is a rock n' roll album.
For those that are considering whether or not it's worth buying a physical copy of HardRock Nite, it certainly is. You're in for a treat.
The album liner notes include anecdotes and interesting facts about why each song is on there. There's also a great shot of the Fab 4!
Enuff Z'Nuff - HardRock Nite Fab 4 lineup features;
Tory Stoffregen on lead guitar and slide
Tony Fennell on guitars/vox, keyboard and strings
Daniel Benjamin Hill on drums and percussion
and original founding member Chip Z'Nuff on vocals, electric guitar and his famous Fender bass.
Produced by Tony Fennell, Chip Z'Nuff and Ron Proesel.
We recommend you play the album as a whole but our top picks include Live favourite Dear Prudence, Jet and pure rock stomper Helter Skelter - Quality musicianship, a real fun vibe and behind every note you can hear the band smiling. They're obviously enjoying themselves in their work and we're enjoying the album. The name Enuff Z'Nuff acts as a seal of quality.
The lineup may change from time to time, but anything released under the name acts as a guarantee you're going to hear some of the finest examples of musical talent.
5/5 For fans of Enuff Z'Nuff
