Grandma needs to tell you about a brilliant live music bar in Cambridge; it’s called The Six Six Bar and is a wonderful live music bar in the beautiful city of Cambridge. It opened in August 2022 and calls itself the “Home of Rock N Roll for Cambridgeshire”.

Tonight Grandma went to listen to three bands Gin Annie, Molly Karloff and Regional One.

1st band to take to the stage tonight was Regional One from Bournemouth, 4 members to this band Simon Ball - vocals, Steve Lees - Guitar, Callum Mitchell - Bass and Aaron Levens - Drums.

This is the 1st time of seeing this band and wow! The band had great audience participation and it was great to take part as a Choir member for one of the songs.

Grandma loved it when the band introductions took place and the band members came into the audience, all except the drummer for obvious reasons lol.

Grandma really enjoyed the song “Hero”. The sound from this band was fantastic! Would Grandma see them again? She would, she really enjoyed the sound and has joined the bands Facebook page.

2nd band on was a band Grandma has seen before Molly Karloff.

Molly Karloff are a three piece alternative hard rock/metal band. They are based in Oxford and have 3 members, Simon Gee - Vocals and guitar, Adam Stanley - Bass, and man unknown drummer!

This band always produce an amazing wall of sound and have never disappointed me. They are one of those bands that when my hubby gets tickets I always smile.

Grandma loved the song “Higher than the sun” and she can’t wait to see them again.

Last on tonight was Gin Annie, another band Grandma has seen several times and really enjoys.

A friendly band with an amazing sound. Grandma was really impressed with the way they interacted with their fans before and after they went on stage, taking time to have photos and hugs.

 The band members are David Foster - vocals, Byron Garbett - Guitar, Marc Bradley - Guitar, Phil Burrows - Bass and Lewis Turner - Drums. The music did not let Gin Annie down, absolutely fantastic; the floor space was full of people enjoying themselves.

The Six Six bar was a wonderful place to listen to the bands, the staff worked hard and I look forward to the next event at the bar.
