Album Review by; Papa Hellcat

The best way to review an album is just to open the music and let it play – don’t research the band or visit their social media as it is all about the music
From the outset you are out of your seat and chanting to this great opening song Veni Vidi Ignis for an album or concert, very reminiscent of Airborne with a rabble rousing chorus, best taken with a bottle of jack, or two?
Scream delivers a full sounding riff which instantly gives you a more dark side track with haunting vocals, already you are wondering who is that knocking at the door late at night? Again this song is written with a live audience in mind and with a simple sing back chorus line you can imagine the hall taking over.
You know that feeling the morning after a gig when your body hurts and you have no voice? Well Jack in the Box is going to test your legs and your stamina as well as your head banging ability. A track that is going to get your head moving, your hands clapping and watch out for calf strain!
Future Baby and Dancing– OMG no time to take a breath as yet again the band deliver a strong rocking riff which is relentless and demanding a reaction from your inner air guitar! (Being a drummer I play air guitar really well in Drop C – whatever that is?)
Flashback turns up the amps another level with a different beat and heavier (if that were possible?) feel to the song. The band continue to deliver a full, rounded sound with a stonking bit of guitar work and Electric Shock does what it says on the tin! The riff gets under your skin and is an electrifying track (see what I did there?)
The intro of Mr Madman lures you in to the false sense that this is going to be the relaxing track on the album, but have no fear this is full on Ozzy sound mixed with a good dose of Alice Cooper, definitely one for getting the makeup on for Halloween and marinating your pet bat!
From bar one this was my favourite track on the album, Unbound just rocks out with a heavy drum beat and clever guitar work. The Hellraiser chorus just makes it a great rock n roll song bashing out everything that is good and heavy. Please let me play this one with you guys?
The Ticket brings this outstanding album to a close, there is not a single track that leaves you wanting. Awesome riffs, heavy drum beats and pure rock vocals. This album is a full gig in itself. I don’t know any of the bands other material but I would be more than happy to hear this album played in full live!
