Bullets & Octane - Riot Riot Rock N Roll

BANG BANG! - BULLETS AND OCTANE JUST SHOT YOU IN THE HEART!

Imagine Easy Listening music - that's the total opposite of the vibe Bullets and Octane bring. Now imagine a sweaty condensation dripping rock bar with a crowd bouncing so high that the band have to jump higher just to get some air.  That's the vibe you get from this record.  Think of the adrenaline you feel after leaving your best Roxy/Whiskey/Boardwalk gig when nothing can top the energy you were just a part of and you leave the venue soaking as you stumble through the doors wobbly kneed, accidentally spilling a strangers pint and knocking into a strict guard before falling into the street for a ride home and or a pizza!

This record is gnarly, real full of grit, power and a sound that would lend itself perfectly to live performance.  What makes this album so great is it sounds like a proper speed rock record, not overproduced/cleaned up/auto tuned/metronomed with computerised sounds that are getting more familiar today even in the rock world.

This is a REAL record and in the current climate feels refreshing.

Opening with speed drums like no other, the album title track 'Riot Riot Rock N Roll' immediately grabs you, it's loud fast and wonderfully gnarly, it really sets the precedent for the rest of the album AND you're hooked!  We don't suggest cherry picking tracks as this body of work is something to be appreciated as a whole, however we can't stop thinking about 'The Bombs Fall' and it's tasty guitar rushes and 'Rooftop Tears' with it's eerie low vocal and jazzy backbeat.

Over the years Bullets and Octane have worked alongside some great people; Gilby Clarke of G’N'R fame produced their first album and new single 'Ain't Gonna Be Your Dog' was co-written with ex Buckcherry guitarist Keith Nelson.  The band have toured with amongst plenty of other big names CKY, Korn, Stone Sour, Fly Leaf and Deftones.

Bullets and Octane are in their 22nd year, they've never been stronger.
