How long have you known each other and when?
Hello, Im Tony Pettry. I have know tony Weaver and Shawn Conner for around six years now. Fred and Jonathon I have know about a year now. How did you decide to form a band/become a musicians?
Me and Tony Weaver were in the band Forgiving Silence and wanted to play a heavier style of metal. So, we started the band Shattered and the rest have been history.

Who would you say is/are your main influences/ heroes?
My main influences which recently the guys may think its like a broken record is the one and only King Diamond, Iron Maiden , Kiss , and Danzig.

What was the first record you bought?
The first record I bought was Motley Crue – Shout at the Devil.

How do you write new material, is it just one of you or do you all contribute?
When we write new material its starts off with jamming or riff ideas. All of as a whole contribute to the writing process as it’s a bands duty for everyone to contribute.
Do you have any specific method?
Not really, Its pretty much comes down to what we hear as we are jamming and if we like it we work around that idea.

Are you touring this year or in the near future?
We would like to tour in 2019 after our ep is released.

Where is your favourite venue?
To be honest, I like The Cleveland Agora which is huge. The venue has a ballroom for smaller shows and a theater for the huge shows. Really nice place with a lot of history behind it.

What is the best or worse incident that you have encountered on the road so far – that you can share?
The best best thing that happened was when Shattered went on tour with Sykosis and share the time with those great guys. We ended up staying with our friends Kelly and Kelly from Fractured Fairytales one night and woke up to machine gun fire because he lived on a military base, They had us two bands spread out all over their house and in a rv outside. To top it off they cooked everyone breakfast. The worst thing that happen is we ended up taking two trucks on tour. After a show one night I decided to start traveling to the next state for our show. The guys in the other truck were drinking and decided to sleep a while before driving. They changed their mind and totaled the truck and damaged a lot of our gear.
Do you have any special requests or rituals before going on stage, are you superstitious for instance?
No, there is really no rituals currently. We used to have a ritual of drinking before going on stage which really was the wrong thing to do as a usician and for the bands. Glad that has changed and is not done anymore.

How do you spend your free time before a show, any particular pastimes/hobbies?
I have a radio show called Mosh Team Mayhem so im always working on subjects to talk about and music to play in my free time.
Are you planning any new recording like an album/EP soon?
Yes, we plan to release our new album called Skinwalker in 2019. Im very happy with the new material.

If you could go back in time, is there a venue or festival you wished you could have played?
We had to cancel opening for Obituary because of member changes. That really sucked big time.
​
Who are your favourite bands at the moment?
Right now im listening a lot to the New Deicide, Cancer, Moonspell, and Re-birth.

Who’s record are you playing/listening to right now?
Moonspell,, Lol. Busted…
