There’s More Mutiny on the Horizon!

Matt Pearce & The Mutiny announce more dates and support slots

After hitting the ground running, with bravura live appearances and a successful debut album,

Matt Pearce & The Mutiny continue to forge forward, announcing more live dates – headline,

(including The Grace, London on April 2ND ) festival appearances and support slots.

This gives fans further chances to see Matt’s musical mutiny in progress, delivering smokin’ hot

songs with passion and gusto, in a way that “sounds both vintage and modern at the same

time!” (as Darren Redick of Planet Rock Radio deftly put it).

Matt Pearce & The Mutiny released their self-produced, debut album, ‘Gotta Get Home’ last

year through Mutinear Records. Just one day later, it was #1 in the Amazon Best-Selling Blues

Albums and Hot New Releases charts, and has since gone on to glean an impressive array of

glowing reviews from the Blues and Rock press.

Maximum Volume described the album as ‘As if Prince is jamming with Bonamassa. One of the most confident, classy and promising blues debuts in ages.’

“Think Stevie Ray Vaughan guesting with Gov’t Mule,” said Bluesdoodles in their 10/10 review, “and you are getting close to the excellence on display. If this album had been released by one of the ‘established’ blues giants, it would be lauded to the skies… and so it should be.”

'Set Me Free', the very first single from the album, was a #1 Amazon Blues Song, winner of Classic Rock's Tracks of the Week, playlisted and much requested on Planet Rock radio, and has so far clocked up 75,000 Spotify plays and 11,000 YouTube views!

As you’d expect, given the passion and musical talent invested in the project, Matt Pearce & the Mutiny’s first bold steps into the live arena proved a resounding success, with a string of festival appearances, such as a storming set at HRH Blues in April 2019, preceded by Winterstorm 2018 and The British Blues Invasion in Moscow. What’s more, Matt Pearce & The Mutiny had a blast touring with Laurence Jones as special guests in November and December last year.

For 2020, the band are fiercely delighted to be announcing new dates, including a triumphant headline return to The Grace in London, where they performed before, SOLD OUT, to a raucous applause. Support for the headline London gig will be very old friends of Matt: the Soho Dukes, who describe themselves as “bovver boys, fops and dandies” and promise they’ll be “rattlin' teeth and rollin' bones.” So, they’ll fit right in!

Gigs so far announced include Planet Rock Winter’s End 2020 (1st March); Legends of Rock 2020, Great Yarmouth (8th March); Canvas, Bournemouth (19th March); Looe Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival (20th March); The Grace, Highbury,

London (2nd April); Waterfront, Norwich (14th May); and The Bodega, Nottingham (15th May).

Matt’s currently working on album #2 and hopes to release a taster from it in the next few months.

Matt’s message: "After the mind-blowingly amazing 2019, when the reception to the album and the live shows were beyond all great expectations, I'm super-excited to get going with 2020 and see where the adventure takes me.... I've got some great new funky tunes underway, can't wait to get them out there!  But while you're waiting, see y'all on the road in the next few months!"
