She Burns Red - Take Back Tommorrow

EP review by; Tuesday

On paper the new E.P. from She Burns Red is set to be a scorcher.  Reality doesn't cool it.  The healthy flame heats up over the 4 tracks into a full on weather warning.  Produced by Toby Jepson (Little Angels / Wayward  Sons) we know we're in for a treat and if that isn't enough to excite you, hard rocker and ex Amorettes drummer Hannah McKay provides the heartbeat.

'Tell Me How It Ends' has great pace.  It has a scrumptious chorus, excellent vocal tone, drive and punch.  The timing is spot on.  'Copernicus Falls' is a playground for excellent guitar work and the way the vocal and bass react to each other really adds to the excitement of the piece.  Personal favourite 'Gone' opens with angry guitar and breaks into a race with feisty drums treading after every note.  The vocal is at its finest on this number and the energy is 10 fold that’s found in the other examples included in this fiery package.  'Crosshairs' is a fine example of great musicianship.

This is a well mixed nicely produced E.P.  We'll be buying it.

Elements of heavy Alterbridge can be found in 'Gone'.

For fans of Tremonti, Creed, Stone Broken, Amorettes and Alterbridge.

5/5*!
