Grandma Goes To HRH Sleaze - Day 2

Grandma wants to apologize from the start, Grandma had a couple of drinks before things got going and found out they were doubles, post consumption!

Grandma will do her best today.

The first band was Sister Morphine, they started the event off on stage two, a five piece band that definitely got the party started.  

Grandma loves sitting and listening as hubby stands at the front holding onto the barrier.

Second band Grandma saw was on stage one and called Black Roze and Victoria was amazing, loved her outfit and vocals. An amazing 4 piece band.  Grandma really really likes the new single coming out called After Party, a song full of energy and great vocal distortions part way through.

On stage two was a band called Bang Bang Firecracker, a three piece band with, she thought, a great drummer. Grandma did not get to hear the whole set, but what she did hear was excellent.  She would definitely like to see them again.

The next band Grandma listened to on stage one was Space Age Playboys, a five piece band with a wonderful wall of sound. 

Grandma has learnt that she really likes a band that has three guitars. The main singer has a wonderful easy sounding rasping voice to listen to too.  Grandma liked the song “Rock ’n’ Roll Limo”.

Before the next band went on Grandma did feel hungry but didn’t want to leave the building. Outside the O2 was a fish and chip style van that sold amazing battered sausage and chips. Grandma hopes it’s there at the end of the night, Grandma thinks she’s hungry due to the alcohol!

The next band on stage one is Bai Bang from Sweden. Grandma has seen this band a few times now and likes the fact that the band all wear white. The bass player has great energy and is always smiling.  He wears amazing boots that glowed in the lights just like his guitar strings.  Another five piece band with three guitar players. I really enjoyed the song ‘Werewolf’. It was fantastic watching the audience enjoy a rock version of an ABBA song, “Rock me, give me that kick now”.

The final band of the night was Warrior Soul, I said to a friend they look similar to a band I saw earlier and I got called a prat lol as they are!  Space Age Playboys! Since I enjoyed the band earlier it was not hard for me to enjoy them again but just under a different name, they did play a completely different set of songs.

So my final thoughts on HRH Sleaze, it was great. They did have to change the line-up but it happens when band members get sick and they can’t perform.

 HRH staff are friendly and helpful and always check that you're having a good time. 

Punters look after each other and get you drunk, bands like to mingle and will get photos with you and as a more mature lady I feel very safe and able to just wander from stage to stage without fear or concern.  

I am looking forward to the next event.
