KK’s Steelmill is a wonderful place for music, I loved that they had a raised disabled sitting area to the side with a great view of the stage, a word of advice is to make sure you book to use it though as it’s a struggle to use it if your names not on a list, had to get an organizer to allow me to sit their and get past the security guard.
Wonderful bar staff who are friendly and helpful and food to buy inside the venue, burgers, hotdogs, samosas, filled rolls and cakes, loved that you could buy a hot drink as well.
Sound volume and lighting was just right.
First band, Fury, loved the stage show and the female singer, she had amazing energy throughout the show, loved the stage show and the same movements between the guitar players and female singer. Could have listened to them longer than the 30 mins given. Good guitar solo and wonderful drummer. Crowd seems to really enjoy them. Bass guitarist did an amazing job standing in for Becky who was in America.
Second band, James And The Cold Gun from sunny Wales. Good singing voice and beat to the songs, wonderful female bass guitarist . Sound from the singer was much better after he got turned up! Got the crowd going especially with the last song, great crowd clapping and saw plenty of nodding heads to the beat.
The third band's first song was “Call Me On The Way Home” and really got my foot tapping. I loved the energy and sound they produced, they never stopped moving.
Bar stool Preachers. Would I go to see them again ? easy answer yes.
The last band of the evening was The Treatment and I must admit I was looking forward to seeing them.
And I was not disappointed, the band has a great drummer and the singer has an amazing voice, in fact the whole band works so well together! I thought the previous band would be difficult to follow but the Treatment did it. The crowd really enjoyed them and showed its appreciation by fully getting behind them. Great guitar solos and again great drum work. You can’t stop this runaway train was one of my favourite songs of the night! And that was followed by I’ve got my eyes on you with a great beat and amazing guitar work. Tonight has definitely been a drummers night!
